What Parents are Saying about Millar College of the Bible
Several Parents of our students were asked to give us their feedback on the fact that their children have chosen to attend Millar. Below is their responses. You'll see the name and picture of a current student along with the words from their parents.

I personally went to Bible college after high school and my husband and I always wanted our children to do the same. It is a great way to transition into adult life giving them a firm foundation in the Word and direction in their life. When our eldest daughter was looking for a college, she chose Millar mostly for the sports program as she is very athletic. I had never heard of Millar; however at parent orientation I knew Millar was perfect for Jillian when they
said their goal is to 'make passionate servants of our Lord Jesus Christ'! Who wouldn't want that for their child? After Jillian's first semester, it has been confirmed in my heart that Millar is a very worthwhile experience as I see the growth and confidence in her as a responsible woman of God. She's already talking about going a second year! Go Millar!

High school graduation is such an exciting time in a young adult's life. But it can also be a time of uncertainty with the many choices and decisions to be made as one chapter closes and another chapter begins. Millar College of the Bible stood out among other choices for our boys to begin the new chapter of their lives for a few reasons.

We were very attracted to the small student population of the school. The students experience a family atmosphere at Millar, are close-knit and care for one another. They also have the opportunity to get to know their professors inside and outside the classroom. Students are guided with whatever needs they may have both spiritually and academically. Even though the school is small it does not lack in quality drama and music groups and sports teams.

There are many Bible schools to choose from. Millar College of the Bible is a school that has remained strong in the teaching of the Bible. It is comforting to know that our boys are being grounded in the truth of God's word. Knowledge is wonderful but students at Millar are encouraged to also make it heart knowledge and to apply the gospel to their every day lives. Everything they do they are reminded to do it for Christ.

Millar's fees are comparable to other schools their size but a lot less than larger schools. However, it still sometimes seems like a lot of money and there is a temptation to wonder if it is worth the cost. We are reminded when we see the men of God our boys are becoming that the grounding they are receiving is building a foundation for their futures and the choices they make in this chapter of their lives has eternal implications. We as parents can only come to the conclusion that an education at Millar College of the Bible is truly PRICELESS!!

We have both the opportunity and the privilege in this country to seek God openly. Attending Millar College has been an answer to our prayers that our children would continue to seek God and grow in the knowledge and love of Him. We have seen both of our children grow and mature in their walk with God. They both have been excited to tell us about what they are learning at college. We are so thankful for the dedicated teachers and staff at Millar that are there to serve God and our children.

As parents, God blessed us with seven children. He blessed us again when all seven chose to attend Bible college, and the blessing increased when the youngest three chose to go to Millar College of the Bible. While the classroom filled them with sound Biblical knowledge, and a desire to share God's Word, the after-class experience was also life changing. Time spent in the dorms helped to form friendships that will last a lifetime. The lessons our children learned while experiencing the staff demonstrate Christ's love every day are irreplaceable. Whether the staff are mentoring a student, sharing their homes, or a hug for someone who is a little homesick, their example is amazing.

Our prayer is that Millar's legacy of producing scripturally grounded, effective young leaders eager to go into the world to serve our Lord and Saviour, will continue well into the future.

In His service;

Jason Schmidt
Starting with a poor attitude in school, bad mouthing teachers, being abusive to younger kids in school, getting caught with alcohol at recess, dabbling in drugs and finally selling drugs and booze in town to pre-teen kids, ending with expulsion and a criminal record. None of this describes Jason Schmidt! He grew up on a farm in east central Alberta and attended a very small school surrounded by good friends, many from our Church. Jason always attended Sunday school and went to Plover Lake Bible Camp for 10 years. The thing that might muddy his name would be that he attended Clipper basketball camp at Caronport, instead of Millar ball camp.

As parents, we are very pleased that Jay decided to attend a solid Bible school like Millar, one that has focused on teaching and training the Word of God. Over the years we have known other youth from our area head straight from a class of 6 to university and find that their faith is shaken by all the world has to offer. And offering things like the first sentence, it does.

Not all youth crash and burn but most go through the fire and some get badly burned. Jay has a great foundation to use the shield of faith to stop the flaming arrows of the evil one.

We see Jason growing with an understanding of how the Bible is relevant in life and who God our creator is. We do not see Jason as a better Christian but as a much better equipped Christian.

Yours truly,
