What Parents are Saying about Millar College of the Bible
Millar has been a great college for three of our children. Each one has been excited with the opportunities they have had to develop wonderful friendships, learn from God's Word, develop their giftedness and receive opportunities to serve. As parents, we feel our children's lives have been enriched through their experience at Millar College of the Bible, and for this we thank God.

Our son attended Millar College of the Bible last year (06/07) and is returning again for a second year. He speaks very highly of the biblical education courses, the mentoring teaching staff, and the great friendships which develop from dorm living. He thoroughly enjoyed Millar’s competitive athletic program and appreciated the emphasis Millar places on playing for the Lord. The food was exceptional and the chef (not surprisingly) is very popular among the students! As parents we are thankful for the positive, foundational growth our son is experiencing in all facets of his life. We are so glad he chose to attend Millar.

It has been a joy for our family to be involved with Millar College of the Bible over the last few years. Two of our children (Jonathan and Anna) have recently studied at Millar, and we rejoice to see them flourish in a spiritually healthy and biblically based setting. We appreciate the conservative emphasis of the college, and the genuine love and care evident among faculty, staff and students. May the Lord continue to use the school to strengthen and refine young people as they aim to glorify Him in a needy and lost world.

Since our children were born we have prayed that they would become men and women that love and serve God. We wanted them to have at least one year of Bible college to help them become more grounded in their faith, establish some more Christian friends, and just have another year to grow and mature. Millar has done that and so much more for our children; they have blossomed beyond our dreams. They have become confident young adults with strong Christian values, strong leadership qualities and they know and are using their gifts. We praise God for his goodness and for Millar College for their guidance.

Ashley's experience at Millar was nothing but positive and the fulfillment of a life goal. Growing up she was always an honour roll student, had wonderful friends, and was very motivated and hard working. However, the most important thing in her life was her walk with God and the impact she wanted to make for Him. There is so much pressure to make career-minded choices as a young person but all Ashley really wanted to do first was go to Bible college. What she really wanted was a small personal school whose main focus was Scripture teaching and growth in your spiritual life, as opposed to schools promoting drama, music or sports. She found exactly what she was looking for in Millar. She loved it from the first day. Her roommate and she became instant best friends - people thought they had known each other for years and had come to Millar together. Ashley was always a mature godly young woman but she really grew at Millar. She could talk for hours on the phone sharing what she was learning, how it was challenging her, what the staff and teachers meant to her. The staff, like Michele, were very influential in her life; and getting a chance to lead a hall in her second year really stretched her. We know she wouldn't change a thing about the past two years of her life (and neither would we). Millar has helped shape her into a young woman who wants to serve God above all else, love those around her and make an impact for Jesus in her generation. We are also thrilled that as part of God's plan for her, she met a wonderful young man there and is now married. Thank you.

Two weeks ago I was talking with a pastor of a small Baptist church in the country northwest of here. We talked some of schools and what colleges can be trusted to teach the Word of God without all of the world's philosophies being added to the teaching. From my perspective, I believe that Millar College and its professors have remained true to teaching God's Word.

After high school, our son Adam was pressured to live as the world lives. He joined in some of the activities up to a point. We watched as he gave in to some temptations he faced and backed away from others.

I knew Adam preferred going to a smaller conservative Bible college. I know a few who had attended Millar years ago and their commitment of walking true to God over the years made a good impression on me. And I heard that Millar was one of the few colleges left that taught creation only. So when Adam accepted my challenge to him to consider going to Millar, I was thrilled. I have stepped foot on the campus only a few times over the past two years and I have never come away disappointed.

Adam has chosen to return for his third (07/08) year of Bible teaching at Millar. God has blessed him with a decent job for the summer which will make this possible. It is a privilege for any parent to watch a young adult make wise choices that display the leading of the Spirit of God in his living. In a day when we are encouraged to fear anything but God, I am watching a son who fears God and has chosen to turn from foolish choices and display wisdom in his lifestyle. His mother and I watch as God's Word has a high priority in his life. God is giving him opportunities to share his faith with friends. He continues to be fun-loving with a strong desire to include God in all aspects of his life. His maturity level after two years at Millar College has grown visibly. We are encouraged that he has chosen to return for a third year of studies.
Thanks for the opportunity to share this.
