Alumni and Friends Indoor Soccer Tournament will take place on February 10-11, 2012. If you are planning to attend, please contact Missy McComish at missy@millarcollege.ca before January 27. This is also our invitational tournament so we can only have two mens alumni teams and one womens alumni team. Please register early to get your spot! |

Men's Team
The Men's Soccer team plays weekly in the Swift Current futsal league. Futsal presents many challenges different from indoor soccer and the team has had to learn how to adjust to the different style of play.

January 24 (Men's Game)
On January 24th the Millar men's indoor soccer team played the House Cats. Well Millare was scheduled to play the House cats, but the House Cats did not have enough players for a game, so Millar won by forfeit. Since Millar had travelled into Swift Current to play they still wished to play even though the victory was already theirs. Both Samuel Bernard and Jeremy Schroeder switched teams for the evening and there was a game played after all.
Nathan Deane, Martin Stregger and Parker Meginbir each scored twice. Nori Anderson and Charlie Howland both scored once.
Samuel Bernard scored three goals against Millar and Jeremy Schroeder scored once as well. The final score was 8-4 for Millar.

January 18 (Women's Game)
Futsal Game in Swift Current
It was a very fun game and both teams worked very hard, but in the end Millar lost 1-0 when the other team scored in the last 5 minutes of the game.

January 17 (Men's Game)
On January 17th Millar men's indoor soccer team played the House Cats. This game displayed many improvements made by the Millar team from previous games. The Millar men's team played solidly and displayed the talent that God had blessed them with. The final score in the game was 7-1 for Millar. Scorers included Nori Anderson and Parker Meginbir who both scored twice. Nathan Deane, Samuel Bernard, and Mitch Regier each scored a goal as well.
