Instructors

  • Samuel Bernard

Sammy is originally from Haiti. He graduated from Millar College of the Bible with a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies. Sammy continued his studies and obtained a Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary. Sammy is married to Leah and they have two beautiful children. Sammy likes meeting new people and is passionate about seeing others come to know the Lord.

  • Matt Woodmass

Matt is a full-time instructor at Millar’s Winnipeg Campus, where he enjoys sharing his passion for God’s Word and its original languages with his students. Matt, and his wife, Judith, live outside of Winnipeg with their four daughters.

  • Molly Leschied

Originally from the United States, Molly has called Canada home since 2008. She met her husband of almost 26 years in Kyiv, Ukraine where they both served as missionaries. Winston, their furry family member, joined the family as a puppy and continues to bring many smiles to all those he meets.
In 2016, God began Molly’s journey into Biblical counseling. She became a certified Biblical counselor in March of 2022 with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors. Molly loves watching God, through His Word, bring hope and help to those struggling with life dominating sins or just simply the difficulties of life.
Molly and James attend City Church where they enjoy growing in their faith with believers from many countries around the globe.

  • Nick Betzing

The providence of God led Nick to Millar's Pambrun campus where he completed his degree and met his beloved bride, Nicole. Since then, he has been working in the landscape business, continuing his studies at Millar's Master’s Program, and pastoring alongside the other elders of Grace Life Church Beausejour. Nick is excited to see the campus emerge in the city he calls home and counts it a great privilege to teach God's Word wherever he has the opportunity.

  • Lorne Meisner

Lorne has been married to Esther for 49 years, blessed with 4 married children and 15 grandchildren, ranging in age from 1 year to 22 years.

God's grace has allowed him to serve in vocational ministry for 4 decades and counting. After 4 years as Instructor of Biblical Studies at Winnipeg Bible College (now Providence College), Lorne served as a local church pastor in 2 churches for the next 20 years.

Lorne and his wife are honored to call City Church in Winnipeg their home church, a church planted 13 years ago in the west end of the city with a focus on refugees and immigrants.

  • Boaz Fadun

Boaz and his wife Megan have a strong desire to spread God’s Word to Winnipeg and beyond. Boaz is a Church planter and Pastor at CityLight Church. He is passionate about preaching God’s word in a manner that exalts Christ and equips his church.

  • Al Letkemen

After graduating from Providence Theological Seminary, Al considers it a privilege to pastor Nassau Street Church in central Winnipeg, as he has for the past 25 years. He has also been given opportunities to teach, equip and support pastors in India, Bangladesh, and ministries in Ukraine. He has grown to love the story of redemption that runs all through the Bible, pointing to the beauty of Jesus on every page. His prayer is for the Church to fall deeper in love with God’s Word, raising their affections for God and His Son Jesus. This will lead to a daily delight and enjoyment in God, who is the gospel (Exodus 33).

  • Brennan Cattani

Brennan and Rhonda have been married for 20 years and have 4 wonderful children. Their family is passionate about seeing their neighbourhood of Osborne Village, and Winnipeg, saturated with the gospel of Jesus!

While leading Youth For Christ's Camp Cedarwood, Brennan completed his master's degree at Providence Theological Seminar. God subsequently called Brennan into an associate pastoral role at Ness Ave. Baptist Church in 2017. As a healthy church with a desire to replicate itself, Ness commissioned Brennan to plant a daughter congregation, and in 2021 Osborne Village Church began meeting regularly. Brennan is currently serving as a staff elder at OVC.

Spending time with family, building neighbourhood relationships, BBQing, and proclaiming Christ and Christ crucified are some of Brennan's driving passions!
